Flash Floods and Landslides in Gayo Lues, Aceh Province

Chronology
- Heavy rain that flushed Gayo Lues Regency on Friday, May 7, 2021. around 18:00 WIB resulted in flash floods and landslides, on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Pkl. 22:04 WIB

Location:
- Kec. Klangkejeren, Desa Agusan and
- Kec. Putri Betung, Meloak Village

Fatalities :
Impacted
- 43 families / 175 people in Ds. Melted
- 18 families / 56 people in Ds. Agusan

Material Damage:
- 43 houses in Meloak Village Affected by flooding
- 18 houses in Agusan village were affected by the flood
- 11 landslide points on the Blangkejeren-Aceh Tenggara highway
- and 1 public facility (poskesdes)

Effort :
- The TRC team went to the field to check the conditions as well as collect data on flood victims

Latest condition:
- People are still worried, if the rain continues to flush, it is possible that further flooding will occur.
- some people fled to their homes and some were still in their homes
- At 21.30 WIB the road was accessible to the Southeast Aceh district
