CIREBON - Flooding in three sub-districts, Plumbon, Depok and Susukan in Cirebon District has subsided and residents have returned home this morning, Saturday (7/3). Previously, 283 people fled to the Gintung Lor Al Mujahidin Mosque. "This morning, March 7, 2020, at 5:50 local time the water has completely receded, refugees who stayed overnight at the mosque have returned to their respective homes and closest relatives," said Dadang Chief Executive of the Cirebon Regency BPBD. 1,744 families (3,512) people were affected by the floods that occurred on Friday (6/3), at 21:00 WIB. At that time floods inundated 508 houses with water levels of 30 to 150 cm. Rain with high intensity is one of the triggers for flooding. Rain in the Majalengka Regency in the upstream region caused the Ciwaringin River to overflow. Flooding finally occurred in three villages, Gintung Lor Village in Susukan District, Kebarepan in Plumbon District and Kasugengan Lor Village in Depok District. During the emergency handling of the Cirebon District BPBD TRC together with the TNI, Polri, volunteers and residents evacuated residents to the mosque.
