Indonesia, Flooding in Timor Tengah Selatan (East Nusa Tenggara)

➢ Chronology: Triggered by heavy rain that occurred on September 17, 2024, from 20.00 to 04.00 WITA, the Fatumuti River overflowed and inundated a number of residential areas. The water level in the affected area was on average as high as an adult's knee.

➢ Location:

- Bena Village

➢ Casualties:
● ± 57 families (in data collection)

➢ Material Losses:
● ± 57 houses affected
● 1 road section of ± 1 km Batu Putih-Malaka affected
(in data collection)
● 1 health facility affected
● 2 worship facilities affected

➢ Efforts:
● BPBD Kab. South Central Timor together with related parties have moved quickly in carrying out emergency response.
● Field posts have been established and basic needs assistance has begun to be distributed to affected residents. The rapid assessment team also continues to work in the field to ensure data on damage and urgent needs of residents.
● On Thursday (19/9), the TTS Regent, accompanied by the Head of BPBD and other related agencies, directly reviewed the disaster location to monitor the current conditions and ensure that aid is distributed properly
