Description

Tropical Depression KAJIKI or locally called, Basyang which developed and crossed over southeast of Philippines area on 30 January 2014 has triggered landslide and flooding in Cebu and Southern Leyte. On 1 February, KAJIKI weakened into Low Pressure Area (LPA). As of 3 February 2014, NDRRMC reported impact and casualties caused by flooding and landslide: - 6 death, 1 injured and 5 missing - 9,328 families/42,987 people have been affected in Region VI, VII, VIII and CARAGA - 5,646 people were displaced - 83 damaged houses NDRRMC and responding agencies continuously provide assistance to the affected communities.
