Description
On 04 April 2022 at around 08:00 AM, MDRRMO-Mamasapano reported a flooding incident in their municipality due to the continuous light to heavy rains in neighboring municipalities caused by the effects of the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone affecting Mindanao areas.
The overflow of the water in Kabulnan river resulted to the flooding in five (5) barangays which affected a total of 230 hectares of land planted with corn (hybrid and yellow corn) with an estimated value in agriculture in the amount of Php 874, 000.00 according to MAFAR- MMO- Mamasapano Bihamdi Abdulgani. There are also reports of minimal damages in fishery areas. No displacements were reported but affected farmers asked for assistance.
