Description

1. On October 11, 2024, from approximately 3:30 p.m., heavy rain fell in Tambon Bang Sawan, Amphoe Phrasaeng, Surat Thani Province, and nearby areas of Amphoe Plai Phraya, causing flooding of houses and monasteries.
2. Location of the incident
2.1 Village No. 8, Tambon Bang Sawan, Amphoe Phrasaeng, Surat Thani Province
- Flooding of 15 households and Tham Nam Lod Monastery
2.2 Village No. 8, Ban Bang Yot, Tambon Ipan, Amphoe Phrasaeng, Surat Thani Province
- The water level in Khlong Ipan is 6.55 meters, an increase of 30 cm from yesterday. The water level continues to rise.
- Flooding of 52 households and approximately 1,500 rai of agricultural land of the villagers
- The water level on the road is 70 cm high, making it impassable.
3. Phrasaeng District, Kamnan, Village Headman, Ipan Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Bang Sawan Subdistrict Administrative Organization Kusonsattha Suratthani Foundation (Bang Sawan) Bang Sawan Rescue
- Provided assistance and evacuated 2 monks and 10 people
4.Situation trends
- Currently, the water level in Bang Sawan Subdistrict has decreased and is returning to normal.
- The water level in Ipan Subdistrict has a tendency to increase continuously.
