Description
According to a quick report from the Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Dien Bien and Cao Bang provinces, heavy rain on August 11, 2024 caused the following damage:
- Home: 72 houses were damaged and affected (Cao Bang).
- Regarding agriculture: 102.8 hectares were flooded (Cao Bang)
- Regarding livestock and aquaculture: 968 cattle and poultry died (Cao Bang 966, Dien Bien 02); 0.5 ha of fish ponds were washed away.
- Regarding traffic: over 32 traffic points were eroded and blocked (Cao Bang 30, Dien Bien 02); now the route is open.
Immediately after the disaster occurred, local authorities mobilized forces to support people in overcoming the consequences, stabilizing their lives and clearing traffic routes.
