According to the Quick Report of the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control in the provinces of Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Tien Giang, An Giang, heavy rain on June 8, 2024 caused damage:
- Houses: 87 houses had their roofs blown off and damaged (Lao Cai 01; Cao Bang 11; Tien Giang 05; An Giang 70).
- Agriculture: damage of 3.4 hectares of rice, crops, 0.1 hectares of cassava, and 1,500 anise trees.
- Aquatic products: 2.6 tons of fish were lost.
- Education facilities: 01 school site collapsed.
- Regarding traffic works: landslides at 31 points on National Highway (in Cao Bang: 30 points on National Highway 34; 01 point on National Highway 4A); 17 rural areas (Cao Bang 10 points; Lao Cai 07 points) with 1709m3 of soil and rock.
